Legal Assistant – Downtown Vancouver

A full-time legal assistant is required for a downtown Vancouver business law firm. The successful applicant will be assisting two lawyers in the areas of corporate / commercial law, intellectual property, wills and estate planning and real property transactions. Our practice focuses on both domestic and international matters and provides an interesting and challenging work environment.

The job responsibilities will include, document preparation (including incorporation documents and wills and estate planning documents) and drafting correspondence and other documents, as well as filing documents, internally and with government registries and related agencies. Other duties will include setting appointments, performing BC Online and other registry searches, corporate records maintenance duties, client billing matters and other general office administration duties.

The applicant must have with strong grammatical, editing and proofreading skills, must be able to communicate in a clear, friendly and professional manner and must have a pleasant personality coupled with above average organizational skills. Experience using Microsoft Office and Esi-law software would be beneficial.
