Legal Assistant – Downtown Vancouver
We are looking for an engaged, focused Legal Assistant to support our unique and varied law practice.
We are a downtown Vancouver law firm, that assists clients from across North America, and from a wide range of jurisdictions around the world, with corporate / commercial, real estate, estate planning and intellectual property matters.
The ideal candidate will have a university degree (i.e. B.A., B.Sc., or J.D., LL.B., LL.M.) and will perform legal assistant duties and conduct legal research and document production assignments for two / three lawyers in our firm. The successful candidate for this position will possess strong analytical and communication skills, the ability to problem solve, combined with well developed attention to detail.
The job responsibilities will include, document preparation (including incorporation documents and wills and estate planning documents, trademark application material and conveyancing documents), as well as attending to document filing and registration work. Other duties may include setting appointments, performing BC Online and other online registry searches, client billing matters, and general office administration duties.
This position is ideally suited to an individual with a pro-active approach to work, combined with the ability to work unsupervised and to prioritize work assignments.
